• This variety is one of the hardiest and most dependable of all heliconias.
• Plants grow to around 2 meters tall and wide.
• The flowers are held upright and borne inside the foliage.
• Plants have variable blooming seasons. These vary as per the location.
• They flower for a longer period in the hot and humid tropics. 

Flowering season: April, May, June, July, August

Growing tips:

• They are best grown in full sunlight. However, in hot and dry areas they can be grown in partial shade.
• A single upright shoots flower only once. It can be taken out once the flowering is over.
• It is quite zero maintenance but needs regular watering for good flowering.
