Red Hot Poker Ginger

Not often seen in cultivation. Bright red imbricated bracts, highly unusual. More of a collector's plant. 

A compact hardy grower to 2m high, great for landscaping

Prefers part shade, well-drained rich soil

Free flowering, producing red basal cones primarily in late Spring and Summer.
